Income when you're ill
Most people can expect a comfortable lifestyle whilst they're working. But ill-health affects a surprising number of people and can stop them earning, which is worrying and stressful. Commitments like rent, mortgage, credit cards and loans all demand payment. Not only must you cope with your illness, you still need to pay the bills.

Statutory Sick Pay is low and payments stop after a while, whether or not you are back to full health. So how do you manage? Our Century Plan can help you protect your income and your lifestyle.

Cash if you can't work
Income of up to £2,600 a month is paid out to help you pay your bills and look after your family if you are unable to work through ill-health. Regular payments are made until you return to work or right up until age 60.

Care for everyday life
A specially trained team of Registered Nurses offer you friendly advice on medical and care matters for you and your family. Support is available regardless of whether you need to claim sickness benefit or not.

Capital growth for the future
With most protection schemes, if you don't need to make a claim you never get back any of the money you have paid in. With the British Friendly Society your Century Plan not only protects you, it also builds up a tax-free* capital sum for you.

Choices as you get older
From age 60 you can choose to take up a healthcare benefit of up to £10,000 to help you maintain your independence if you need help with everyday activities**. You also get a free home health assessment and comprehensive care plan tailored to your needs should you need to claim.
